BizTech Fusion is hiring a Software Engineer – DDI Solution for one of its clients.

Job Type:Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experiencedPython Software Engineerto design, develop, and implement enterprise-scaleIP Address Management (IPAM) and DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong enterprise software development experience in Python, deep knowledge of IPAM/DNS/DHCP, and experience building infrastructure automation and API-driven solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with hardware, networking, storage, platform, software, and SRE teams to build reliable, scalable, and automated infrastructure services that support self-service consumption across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

IPAM, DDI & Infrastructure Platforms

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scaleIPAM and DDI solutions.
  • Design scalable IP allocation, DNS, and DHCP strategies across multiple data centers and environments.
  • Develop software solutions that can operate reliably and efficiently at large scale.
  • Integrate IPAM/DDI platforms with provisioning, bootstrapping, and CMDB workflows.
  • Maintain theCMDB as a source of truth, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and automated updates.
  • Build infrastructure services that enable automated and self-service consumption.

API Development & Integration

  • Develop APIs and integrations to orchestrate infrastructure workflows across compute, storage, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Build automated solutions for dynamically allocating, managing, and recycling IP addresses.
  • Integrate IPAM services with infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows.
  • Develop API-driven workflows for infrastructure automation and lifecycle management.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure automation and onboarding pipelines.
  • Automate server provisioning, bootstrapping, and deployment workflows.
  • Work withPuppet, Ansible, or similar configuration-management and automation tools.
  • Support data center bootstrapping services, includingPXE, imaging, and initial OS/hypervisor provisioning.
  • Develop solutions for bare-metal provisioning and hypervisor deployment.

Monitoring, Reliability & Operations

  • Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and dashboards for infrastructure health.
  • Work with monitoring and observability tools such asPrometheus, Grafana, ELK, Nagios, or similar technologies.
  • Define and track key infrastructure metrics, including availability, latency, capacity, and error rates.
  • Analyze operational data and drive improvements in system reliability and performance.
  • Participate in incident response and troubleshooting.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience withPython programmingand enterprise software development.
  • Deep knowledge ofIPAM, DNS, and DHCPin enterprise environments.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintainingDDI solutions as code.
  • Experience building infrastructure automation and API-driven integrations.
  • Hands-on experience withPuppet, Ansible, or similar automation tools.
  • Experience working withCMDB systemsas a source of truth.
  • Familiarity withbare-metal provisioning and hypervisor deployment.
  • Knowledge of data center networking concepts, includingFibre Channel.
  • Strong Linux experience, including troubleshooting at both the operating-system and hardware layers.
  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning, bootstrapping, and deployment automation.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, workflow orchestration, and infrastructure automation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working withlarge-scale internal infrastructure platformsor "infrastructure as a product."
  • Background inSRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Experience with self-service infrastructure platforms and developer enablement.
  • Experience operating inmulti-data-center or hybrid environments.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability tools such asPrometheus, Grafana, ELK, Nagios, or similar.
  • Experience withPXE, server imaging, OS provisioning, and hypervisor provisioning.
  • Experience developing infrastructure onboarding and provisioning pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally withhardware, software, networking, storage, platform, and SRE teams.
  • Strong operational mindset with a focus on reliability, correctness, scalability, and supportability.
  • Ability to take ambiguous infrastructure problems and turn them into clear, automated, and maintainable solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with multiple technical teams.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is aSenior Python/Infrastructure Software Engineerwith strong hands-on experience inIPAM/DDI, DNS, DHCP, infrastructure automation, API integrations, Linux, and data center environments.

Candidates with a background inSRE/DevOps and large-scale infrastructure platforms, particularly those who have built automation around provisioning, CMDB, and self-service infrastructure, are strongly encouraged to apply.
