Position is remote but can require onsite as necessary with sufficient notice at your own expense.

Description:

Our client is seeking a Project Manager. Preference will be given to qualified candidates with experience in large systems and/or multi-year projects with state and federal reporting requirements.

Tasks

  • Project management/ coordination, direction, guidance and consultation of multiple projects using waterfall, agile and hybrid agile methodologies.
  • Managing action items and backlog, tracking risks and issues, preparing instructions, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, preparing and managing communication plans, assisting with process improvements, tracking resource allocation, preparing status reports, and managing work plans
  • Serves as a liaison between business and technical partners.
  • Understands business and technical objectives of a project and works with project team and sponsor and has experience documenting risks and developing mitigation plans. Identifies, tracks, and ensures resolution of issues and removal of barriers

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard project management industry practices such as the PMI's framework.
Skills Required

8 years' Experience with Application Development and Supporting project management- all phases of the systems development life cycle - supporting a large system (Health and Human Services, Insurance, Banking, etc.)

10 years' Experience with creation of detailed workplans using automated tools

10 years' Experience in Technical Writing and Documentation

10 years' MS Product experience (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word)

3 years' Experience with system modernization projects

5 years' Experience completing Unit/Development Testing, Systems Testing, and Supporting User Acceptance Testing

2 years' Experience with SharePoint including administering access.

10 years' Experience working with a business customer to document requirements, analysis, and design deliverables

3 years' Experience with project management related to data conversion and data management.

2 years' Experience executing and documenting the Test Deck for IV-D system Certification

3 years' Experience with an ALM tool (Azure DevOps, JIRA)
