Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly/ monthly inspections of electrical equipment, (hand tools, disconnects, service panels and controls,etc)
  • Preventive maintenance and repair of AC/DC motors (change DC brushes as needed)
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC sensors, AC and DC Drives
  • Run Rigid and EMT conduit.
  • Daily documentation of equipment repaired. (parts needed steps to correct issues)
  • Repairs plant and machinery in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain the preventive maintenance system through controlled documentation.
  • Investigate, report and recommend any engineering issues, which may affect production efficiency.
  • Install new and used equipment.
  • Install and maintain services and utilities.
  • Weekly monitoring of utility usage.
  • Maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Adhering to safe working methods, good working practices and housekeeping.
  • Partner with production management to minimize production loss and inefficiencies by identifying present or future problems.
  • Ability to meet company policy for attendance and work schedule requirements.
  • Other duties assigned

Experience and Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Vocational training in a field related to electrical maintenance preferred
  • Minimum on year of documented experience as a technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven applied Knowledge of 3 phase power. (Experience with 480 volts ac down).
  • Proven applied Knowledge and troubleshooting of older dc drives and have worked with dc voltage from 24 volts to 280 volts and controls
  • Ability to read and use electrical multimeters and meggers.
  • PLC experience Allen Bradly, Direct Logic and Micro logic
  • Troubleshooting control circuits, Starters applied with overload protection and reversing contactors.
  • Experience with SOLA and other Transformers
  • Proven Experience with AB, Allen Bradley and yaskawa vfds, and PLCs
  • Must have required basic hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read, write and interpret and comprehend documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, schematics, technical documents and safety rules
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and Self motivated
