Job description

Job Title: Project Manager - Protection & Control Panels

Location: Hurricane, UT (On-site)
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in industrial control panels, electrical assemblies, or protection & control (P&C) systems. This role is responsible for managing multiple customer projects from initial design through manufacturing and final delivery while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have an electrical background, excellent project management skills, and experience working in a manufacturing environment involving custom-built electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery, budget compliance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Review customer specifications and ensure project designs meet technical requirements and applicable industry standards.

  • Develop and release drawing packages to manufacturing teams.

  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), project schedules, and quality control documentation.

  • Coordinate with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Monitor project costs, schedules, and profitability while proactively managing scope changes.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased operational efficiency.

  • Provide regular project status updates to both internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Ensure all deliverables meet company quality standards and customer expectations.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience in industrial manufacturing, electrical assemblies, control panel manufacturing, or a related industry.

  • Strong understanding of industrial control panels, electrical assemblies, or build-to-spec electrical equipment.

  • Electrical background or equivalent hands-on industry experience.

  • Working knowledge of AC/DC circuits.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and customer expectations.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AutoCAD.

  • Familiarity with Protection & Control (P&C) systems.

  • Experience creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation.

  • Knowledge of quality control processes within electrical manufacturing.
