  • Build scalable field operations: You'll help establish and improve field service processes, scheduling infrastructure, and operational workflows during a key growth phase for the company.
  • Highly collaborative environment: Partner closely with Software, Engineering, Design, and central Tech Ops teams to deliver structured field feedback that drives product and process improvements.
ResponsibilitiesAs the Manager, Market Operations, you will lead Throne's NYC field technician team and own end-to-end field service operations, ensuring Thrones across the city are installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standards.Team Leadership & Development: Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of field technicians. Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and provide ongoing coaching. Lead onboarding and training for new technicians, ensuring adherence to national standards and local market requirements. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.Operations Management: Own end-to-end NYC field service operations including scheduling, workload prioritization, and technician deployment. Ensure all repair and maintenance tickets are created, assigned, and resolved in accordance with defined SLAs. Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies, and lead deployments of new Throne units as the market scales.Performance Tracking & Reporting: Track and report on key operational metrics resolution times, uptime, technician utilization to the Market General Manager. Create and execute plans for the proper upkeep of all workspaces, tools, and equipment.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement: Translate field learnings into documented processes and technical knowledge base contributions. Execute centrally defined training programs ensuring compliance and standardization. Identify operational inefficiencies and proactively propose improvements.Is This You?
  • At least 3 years in trades such as HVAC or electrical, plus 2+ years supervising field teams; high-performing lead technicians are encouraged to apply
  • Proven track record of managing, mentoring, and advancing the careers of frontline personnel
  • Deep competency in electrical and plumbing systems, with the ability to read complex technical diagrams and schematics
  • Operational experience overseeing field activities including maintenance, sanitation, workforce scheduling, and route optimization
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining operational workflows around ticketing and inventory management
  • Exceptional diagnostic skills to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills to lead teams and coordinate with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to remain agile and productive in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
  • Willingness to support the market during weekends or non-standard hours as needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations, or significant professional trade experience in lieu of a degree
  • Valid driver's license with a history of safe driving
