Location: Route 9 Primary Care, DI and Emergency
Status: Full Time 80 Hours

SALARY RANGE: 87,089.60 - 134,992.00 YEARLY
General Summary:
The Manager, Outpatient Centers has overall managerial responsibility for coordination of all OPC operations across both campuses (Kent and Sussex) and off-site centers (Middletown, Smyrna, Harrington, Milton and Total Care). The manager works independently with guidance available from the Senior Director, OP Services and manages, directs, and checks the work of employees to assure quality of performance. He/she ensures that OPC procedures are performed in accordance with prudent medical laboratory, DI and/or Cardiology practice as defined by accepted standards of regulatory agencies and approved by the Directors of the fore- mentioned hospital departments. He/she maintains communications between OPC and other hospital departments and may represent OPC at hospital meetings and in the absence of the director.
Responsibilities:
1. Assigns duties for Supervisor and Lead Patient Care Techs. Reviews and ensures schedules have adequate shift coverage at all sites.
2. Responsible for managing each cost center's operational and capital budgets.
3. Ensures all procedures performed follow standard policies, procedures, and regulations. Revised policies and procedures as appropriate. Actively participates in the laboratory quality plan/program (ex. Investigative reports, notification of delays, registration or ordering errors, etc.)
4. Makes a presence at all sites at least once per month to observe staff if schedule permits. If unable to present at a site each month, call and or email staff at the site. Works collaboratively with DI, Cardiology, Patient Access, and Lab departments to improve efficiencies and employee productivity in all processes.
5. Ensures highest level of service excellence to all patients and clients, handling problems and issues as they arise and proactively addressing patient and client needs. Address Safety variances where indicated. Anticipates and prevents problems independently by taking corrective actions before problems occur.
6. Prepares statistical information, analyzes data, reviews reports, and applies corrective action as necessary.
7. Assumes responsibility for cleanliness of working area, safe disposal of wastes, and maintenance of equipment requests.
8. Responsible for managing the human resources processes by identifying, reviewing and conducting interviews for applicants in all cost centers.
9. All other duties as assigned, within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor Degree Business Or Bachelor's Degree in health care related field.
  • Credential(s): None Required
  • Experience: Required: Two years of clinical experience and two years of supervisory/management experience.

Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
  • Education: Master Degree Human Resources
  • Credential(s): Clinical Laboratory Scientist, RT® Or Diagnostic Imaging Technologist.
  • Experience: Preferred: Management of people in healthcare setting, preferably hospital setting, for 3 years.
