Job Summary:

The Designer is responsible for assisting the Creative department by creating visual assets for the consumer products industry and internal collateral materials. The Designer is also tasked with ensuring that all high-profile assets best represent and adhere to the strict standards of its licensors.


General Responsibilities:

  • Create visual assets for consumer products—including posters, calendars, stickers, and other stationery items—for Trends domestic and international market.
  • Create assets for collateral materials, sales presentations, and trade shows, ensuring that each best represents Trends and its place in the market.
  • Work collaboratively with the digital and e-comm teams and execute on graphic assets for product to be used in various digital settings.
  • Executes new product development as directed by Senior Designers and/or other Creative leads.
  • Collaborate with other Designers on the team to best accommodate Brand Voice consistency across all media.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and anticipating problems while ensuring quality and deliverables are not compromised.
  • Able to execute files for a high resolution and print-ready environment.
  • Track time spent on specific projects in project management system.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Creative Suites - InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • A passion for retail, pop-culture, music, and design.
  • Team player (ability to work with immediate team members and cross functional partners).
  • Strong design fundamentals; solid typography, composition, and great attention to detail both web, social, and print.
  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Must be able to pivot between various projects and design styles with ease.
  • Must understand the 4-color printing process.



Education/Experience:

  • Must have an Associate or bachelor’s degree in a Graphic Design or related field.
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in graphic design or similar artistic capacity.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suites - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Must be comfortable reviewing digital and/or physical pre-production prints/samples.
  • Experience with consumer goods or licensed products is a plus.
  • Strong technical proficiency working with Mac technology.
  • Adobe Workfront knowledge is a plus.


Physical Requirements:

  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • Use hands in a repetitive motion.
  • Reliable vision and ability to distinguish between many color hues.
