Daytime Manager information

What does a daytime manager do?

A Daytime Manager oversees the daily operations of a business or department during daytime hours. Their responsibilities typically include supervising staff, managing schedules, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring that operations run smoothly. They may also be in charge of inventory control, reporting, and implementing company policies. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Daytime Managers are often found in industries like retail, hospitality, and food service.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a daytime manager?

To thrive as a Daytime Manager, you need strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, often backed by experience in supervisory roles or a relevant degree. Familiarity with scheduling software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and inventory management tools is typically required. Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for managing staff and ensuring smooth daily operations. These competencies enable a Daytime Manager to maintain productivity, foster a positive work environment, and deliver consistent customer service.

How does a daytime manager typically coordinate with other department leaders to ensure smooth operations during daytime hours?

As a Daytime Manager, you will frequently collaborate with department heads—such as kitchen, maintenance, or administrative leads—to ensure that daily operations run seamlessly. This often involves holding brief morning meetings, sharing updates on staffing or inventory, and quickly resolving any operational issues that arise. Effective communication and teamwork are key, as you will be the primary point of contact for departments during daytime shifts, ensuring all teams are aligned with business goals and customer service standards.

This is a full-scope restaurant leadership role where you are responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while leading all aspects of the operation during your shift — front of house, back of house, team performance, and execution.
If you are a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in caring for both guests and team members, and enjoys running a highly organized, high-performing shift — we would love to meet you.

  • Consistent, high-quality food
  • A loyal, returning guest base
  • Efficient, fast-paced service (30-minute experience)
At our core, we believe success comes from:
Hospitality, strong standards, consistent execution, and genuine care for our guests and team

????️ The Role: What You’ll Do
As a Restaurant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the Nudy’s experience every day.
✅ Lead the Restaurant Experience
  • Be present in the dining room during peak hours
  • Create a welcoming, engaging environment for every guest
  • Ensure service is warm, attentive, and efficient
✅ Oversee the Full Operation

  • Guide both front-of-house and back-of-house teams
  • Ensure smooth, coordinated execution from kitchen to dining room
✅ Drive Service & Performance
  • Maintain our 30-minute guest experience standard
  • Support strong pacing, communication, and teamwork
  • Ensure food is prepared and delivered efficiently and accurately
✅ Develop and Support Your Team
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings and communication
  • Coach, guide, and support team members
  • Provide clear expectations and consistent follow-through
  • Address performance issues with professionalism and care
✅ Maintain Food Safety & Cleanliness Standards

  • Daytime schedule only — no nights
  • Company-paid health insurance (major savings)
  • $5,000 bonus potential
  • Established, family-owned brand (40+ years)
  • Clear growth path: RM → AGM → GM → Multi-Unit
  • Structured operations with strong support systems
  • Growing company with long-term opportunity
???? What We’re Looking For
REQUIRED:
  • 3–5+ years of restaurant leadership experience
  • Experience working in both dining room and kitchen environments
  • Ability to lead a shift with confidence and accountability
  • Strong understanding of:

    • team leadership and coaching
    • food safety and cleanliness standards
PREFERRED:
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)

  • Prefer a more flexible or less structured management role

???? Compensation
  • $55,000 base salary
