Title: DAYTIME CUSTODIAN

Reports To: Assistant Director of Operations

Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Hourly Wage: $15.00 per hour

Status: Full-time

Qualifications: One year of experience in a comparable position. All duties and responsibilities are essential job functions and requirements and are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent(s) will possess the skills, aptitudes, and abilities to perform each duty proficiently. The requirements listed in this document are the minimum levels of knowledge, skills, or abilities.

Job Description: This position is responsible for the housekeeping duties assigned by the Assistant Director of School Operations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to continuously stand or walk
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally (heavy lifting)
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
Requirements:

Responsibilities:

o Provide custodial care of assigned area of buildings and grounds as required, including but not limited to the following:

§ Wiping down sinks

§ Cleaning stalls

§ Cleaning mirrors

§ Cleaning floors, including vacuuming all carpeted areas and mopping tiled areas

§ Cleaning desks

§ Wiping down dry erase boards and sills

§ Dusting sills and surrounding areas

§ Disinfecting drinking fountains

§ Dusting air conditioning vents

§ Restocking soap, toilet paper and towel dispensers

§ Emptying trash cans and replacing liners

§ Taking trash to dumpster for all assigned rooms

§ Cleaning windows

o Be responsive to the needs of faculty, staff and students

§ Be able to provide assistance to any staff member requiring clean up from spill, leak, child being sick, etc.

o Reporting to the Shift Leader any needs in regards to supplies on an as needed basis

o Attending and participating in faculty meetings and other assigned meetings and activities according to school policy

o Complying with conditions as stated in employee contract and handbook

o Showing support and high esteem for MPCS

o Modeling appropriate Christian behavior in speech and actions

o Other duties as assigned
