Canine Retreat is a busy dog daycare & pet boarding facility in Harbor City, CA.
We are currently looking for a customer service receptionist for our front desk. Previous veterinary hospital experience in a customer service role preferred. Seeking dependable, hard working, energetic individuals that are looking to join The Canine Retreat Family!
**Receptionist applicants must be VERY computer literate with EXCELLENT customer service skills. You will be required to speak with clients, sell services, provide knowledge of our facility and offer specials, and answer basic dog behavior/health questions. An upbeat, outgoing, friendly personality is required. All Applicants must be available for weekdays, weekends and holidays with flexible hours.
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
-Greet customers who are dropping off/picking up their dog
-Checking pets in and out as they arrive and leave our facility.
-Answering multiple phone lines
-Booking reservations
-Organize feeding and medications (must be detail oriented!)
-Liaising with dog daycare assistants to ensure that feedings, baths and any medical requirements for the pups are taken care of
-Working actively with our daycare assistants to ensure 100% client satisfaction
-Tidying up the front office area
-Uploading albums daily to our FB page
-Assisting with day-to-day office duties
-Keeping records and documentation
-Must be comfortable with and able to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds.
-Must be able to work holidays and weekends. We are at our busiest during holiday seasons, so the ability to work on holidays is required.
-You need to be fast, efficient, organized, and detailed oriented!!!
Duties may also include:
-Cleaning up after dogs, and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment.
-Basic dog care including: monitoring, bathing, and feeding.
