Residential Treatment Assistant
Department: Nursing - Unlicensed Job Status: Full-Time Shift: 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM Rate of Pay: $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly Position Type: Full-Time Status: Accepting Applications
Position Description
Do you have a passion for helping others and creating safe, supportive environments? We're looking for a Residential Treatment Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll provide direct, frontline support to individuals served by monitoring activities, maintaining accountability, and contributing to a therapeutic and structured living environment.
As a vital member of the treatment team, you'll play an important role in ensuring safety, fostering positive interactions, and supporting individuals served in their treatment and daily routines. This position is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in behavioral health, human services, or criminal justice while making a real difference in the lives of others.
What You'll Do
  • Support implementation of individuals served treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
  • Promote a safe and therapeutic living environment on the unit
  • Monitor individuals served activities, movements, and accountability through logs, counts, and reports
  • Assist staff with educational, vocational, and recreational activities
  • Observe and document individuals served behaviors related to treatment, safety, and security
  • Conduct safety checks and routine searches to remove contraband and maintain compliance
  • Participate in group meetings with individuals served to promote engagement and structure
  • Intervene in conflicts using de-escalation techniques to ensure safety
  • Provide one-on-one monitoring for individuals served in crisis when needed

What We're Looking For
Education
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or criminal justice (preferred)

Experience
  • Direct care experience in mental health, forensic, or residential settings (preferred)
  • Experience in healthcare, human services, or security (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications
  • Healthcare, mental health, or human services license/certification (preferred)
