Social Media Manager - We are seeking a Social Media Manager to build and lead our organic social media presence from the ground up, with a strong focus on the dynamic world of North American sports betting and online casino gaming. -

The Social Media Manager will design the vision for our social activity while actively executing daily operations — posting, engaging, moderating, and testing new formats.

The Social Media Manager will ensure that social platforms are a trusted source of brand authority, inbound traffic, and campaign amplification for our assets within the sports betting and casino affiliation space. They will strive to build engaged communities around key sporting moments and casino entertainment, while also paving the way for influencer and community-driven projects.

The ideal candidate will not only execute and oversee day-to-day social activity but will also craft innovative social media strategies tailored to the fast-paced betting and gaming landscape. They will collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, and Business stakeholders to maximize visibility during major North American sporting events, elevate our online casino verticals, and provide leadership to more junior professionals.

YOUR CHALLENGESocial Media Management

Collaborate with the Business and Marketing Stakeholders to elaborate strategies, customized social plans and calendars for our assets.

Plan, manage, and execute daily the organic social media activity across multiple platforms to ensure the goals are achieved.

Community Engagement

Drive engagement across platforms, moving from occasional interactions to a sustained and loyal sports and gaming community. Implement initiatives that strengthen brand presence and encourage user-generated content.

Monitor conversations, trends, and audience sentiment to foster relationships with followers.

Work closely with Content, SEO, Lifecycle, Paid Media, and Commercial stakeholders to ensure social supports wider objectives (distribution, monetization, brand authority, synergy with paid).

Provide guidance and direction to freelancers and junior members of the team (if relevant), ensuring efficient execution and broad coverage.

Advise stakeholders on the best platform-specific strategies and evolving opportunities.

Shape platform strategies tailored to audience, identity, and business goals.

Identify inbound opportunities to drive traffic from social to sites where relevant.

Contribute to the development of influencer and community-driven projects, building foundations for future collaborations.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure all activity is compliant with legal provisions and compliance best practices. Champion the usage and refinement of internal procedures to favor efficient and sustainable usage of social channels.

Stay updated on platform policy changes and adjust strategies accordingly.

LEADERSHIP AND TEAM MANAGEMENT

Managing team performance effectively through the practicing of ongoing performance management, including conducting performance reviews and regular 1-1 meetings.

Leading by example by delivering positive results and being a visible Catena ambassador.

Communicating effectively and ensures information is delivered in a clear and timely manner.

Taking ownership of recruitment and selection for your team by working closely with HR and TA teams.

Enabling team and individual growth from induction stage to ongoing learning and development.

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED

4+ years’ experience in social media management, with proven track record of building and scaling projects.

Hands‑on expertise in publishing, community management, and content optimization across major platforms.

Experience leading or guiding junior team members and freelancers (desirable).

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.

Strong understanding of compliance and platform policies in regulated industries, particularly gambling and sports betting.

Knowledge of North American gambling market is highly desirable.

Ability to work flexible hours around major sports calendars (evenings/weekends).

Collaborative mindset with experience working across content, social, and commercial teams.

Experience in influencer or branded content collaborations (desirable).

This role will initially be carried out on a fully remote basis and will transition to a hybrid working model once our Miami hub is up and running.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is 100% remote. Must be available during regular business hours in your evening and/or weekend work on occasion. Must possess a stable, high‑speed internet and working cellular telephone. Must be able to routinely perform indoor work with minimum noise levels. Must be able to perform job functions independently and work effectively either on their own or as part of a team. Must be able to plan and direct the work activities of self and others. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence, naturally or electronically and may include adaptive aids. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 8 hours per day. At times, occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities, as may be occasionally asked to travel to sites or events. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
