Job Title: General Labor - $23.00 Per Hour
Position Overview: Inspects incoming material, verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments as well as packages material for shipment. Sets up and operates assigned machinery as well as continually monitors for quality and determining order requirements to adjust production accordingly. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records
• Packages material for shipment
• Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and verifies with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Oversees loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
• Inspects incoming materials in accordance with inspection procedures
• Unloads incoming wire rod and places it in designated storage area
• Responsible for tagging wire and verifying coil identification
• Removal and segregation of scrap throughout the manufacturing area
• Proper and safe operation of forklift trucks, hand trucks and other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods
• Ensure and observe all safety and housekeeping rules and guidelines
• Set up and operate an assigned machine
• Continually monitors machine for speed, coating level and wire surface quality
• Effectively use the assigned tools in the production of the wire
• Complete proper paperwork during wire production process
• Determine order requirements and adjust production process accordingly
• Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
• High school graduate or equivalent required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate (verbal & written)
• Ability to follow instructions, use simple math, and measuring tools
• Mechanically inclined
• Forklift experience
• Excellent time management skills with ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to multi-task
• Self-motivated, Detail oriented, Team Player
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
