Job description

Primary Purpose

Responsible for facilitating a safe working environment for employees. Guard the personnel and property of Mountaire Farms against fire, theft, damage and destruction, pilferage, and/or malicious injury.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Protecting Mountaire Farms personnel and property, including patrolling areas from a fixed station, on foot or by vehicle.
  2. Control authorized access to company buildings and company property.
  3. Must be able to respond to emergency situations that may require working long hours and additional days as assigned by the Security and Plant Services Manager or his/her designee.
  4. Must be able to work in all elements of weather and temperatures, walk and stand for extended periods of time (up to 2-3 hours at a time).
  5. Follow all Company safety policies, S.O.P. regulations, as well as support the Goal Zero mission statement. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support operational and safety needs.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement or relevant military experience is required.
  • Acceptable Driving Record based on Mountaire's Non-Commercial Vehicle Policy and the ability to meet Mountaire Farms' requirements to operate a Company vehicle.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
