Janesville, WI

Compensation: $65,000 - $72,000 per year

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented 3rd Shift Wash Bay Manager to lead our overnight cleaning operations. The Wash Bay Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring our fleet maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation, reflecting our commitment to an exceptional customer experience. The position requires strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills to ensure exceptional service delivery, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Essential Functions:
  • Supervise and coordinate all wash bay operations during the 3rd shift
  • Lead, train, and motivate the team of wash bay staff
  • Ensure all vehicles/facilities are thoroughly cleaned and meet quality standards
  • Monitor workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Plows and salts at Janesville base and terminals as necessary.
  • Maintains flexibility on work hours and work days in efforts to monitor Wash Bay personnel and operations.
  • Must work weekends, holidays, and evenings as scheduled.
  • Enforce safety protocols and company policies
  • Verify and approve Wash Bay personnel timecards and hours worked for payroll.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and submit restock requests, as needed
  • Recommends and promotes changes to the Wash Bay operations that yield efficient results.
  • Maintains a positive attitude while on duty. Manages job-related stress that comes from high volume work, including last minute changes, staffing and performance issues, work deadlines, incidents/accidents and unpredictable events.
  • Perform Motor Coach and/or School Bus operations as instructed based on skills and abilities.

Physical Capabilities and Required Experience:
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organization skills
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Ability to work overnight shifts consistently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
  • Obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License, Passenger Endorsement, and have Air Brakes Restriction removed from license.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with minimal exertion.
  • Should be agile to move between bus seats and rows.
  • Comfortable working in wet, humid, or cold environments depending on the temperature outside.
