Job description

has an immediate opening at our West Memphis, AR location for a Transportation Coordinator. This individual is responsible to safely and efficiently perform all processes related to the area of Bulk Inventory Material Handling. This role is the critical foundation of the Warren Oil operations team and is one in which strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills are key.

Transportation Coordinator responsibilities:
  • Manage customer relationships in order to achieve specific key factor goals.
  • Resolve problems, build a solid working relationship with all customers in order to understand their total service needs
  • Identify service improvements to exceed the expectations of the customer.
  • Communicate effectively and build a professional relationship with carriers, shippers and internal/external customers to strive to exceed their total service expectation
  • Select cost effective carriers using available optimization tools to include rate negotiation
  • Understand and complete all necessary customer specific tasks
  • Act as a positive role model for team members by providing support and assistance as needed
  • Assist with scheduling daily and weekly routes (Manually/AS400)
  • Track shipments
  • Develop a superior level of customer and carrier relations.
  • Ensure timely pickups and deliveries of freight.
  • Provide constant communication and service to our partnered customer
  • Monitor and report on transportation costs (Accessorial)
  • Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Training Coordinator Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Associate Degree or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of two year customer facing work experience
  • Transportation, supply chain or logistics experience is a plus
  • Advanced technical/computer skills with the ability to use at least 3 to 4 different programs simultaneously
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and thrive in a fast paced team environment
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An innovative, goal-oriented and results driven approach
