Responsibilities
  • Perform routine, sleep-deprived, portable, and continuous EEG studies according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare patients for neurodiagnostic testing by explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Apply electrodes using the International 10-20 System and monitor recording quality throughout the procedure.
  • Recognize and document significant abnormalities, artifacts, and patient events during EEG testing.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and testing records.
  • Ensure proper operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of EEG equipment.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental quality standards.
