Schedule: Monday through Friday, Day Shift

Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in the production of Steel Prep, Machining, and Loadbuild. Maintains schedules for each of these areas and creates production targets that achieve the schedule. Reviews work orders, production specifications, technical instructions, facility requirements, tool requisitions, equipment, and supplies. Ensures all employees are following safety protocols including material handling and PPE.

What You'll Do
The ideal candidate will have the ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Primary Accountabilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Ensures a safe work environment for all employees by promoting proper use of tools and following standard procedures.
  • Trains, mentors, and provides guidance to new workers in operation of equipment, company policies and standards.
  • Measures department and employee performance against the schedule.
  • Maintains inventory records and requisitions ingredients/supplies as necessary to meet delivery schedules.
  • Inspects materials and products to maintain organization standards.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities between departments.
  • Assist with hiring, training, evaluating employee performance, and recommending or initiating promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
