Job description

Engagement Duration = 4 months minimum if not longer
Location:  Remote Work From Home
Shift = Day Shift
Required Certifications = PSP, CPP, or NICET Physical Security or equivalent
Must Have Experience:  Video Management Systems / Video Camera's
Role Overview
Arganteal is seeking a Physical Security Technical Operations Leader to join our Advanced Technology Group. This is a senior individual contributor role that sits at the operational heart of Arganteal's physical security project delivery — translating technical expertise into flawless execution across the full project lifecycle.
Working in close partnership with the Project Management Office (PMO), this role drives technical quality and coordination on physical security projects from initial site survey through design, procurement, implementation, and post-implementation remediation. The Technical Operations Leader provides hands-on guidance and technical direction to Arganteal Physical Security Engineers and field technicians, ensuring every deployment meets client requirements, industry standards, and Arganteal's commitment to excellence.
While this is primarily a standard-hours role, the position includes on-call bridge escalation support as needed, requiring someone who is calm under pressure and capable of quickly diagnosing and guiding resolution of technical issues during critical implementation windows.
 What You Bring Experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience providing technical leadership on project-based physical security work — including design, integration, and implementation of enterprise security systems.
  • Deep working knowledge of physical security technologies across access control, video surveillance (VMS/cameras), intrusion detection, and integrated/converged security platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience leading site surveys, producing design documentation, and authoring detailed bills of materials for physical security deployments.
  • Proven track record coordinating with PMO functions and supply chain teams on multi-site or enterprise-scale physical security projects.
  • Experience providing technical oversight and guidance to engineers and field technicians, including escalation support during complex or time-sensitive implementations.
  • Familiarity with conversion bridge processes and the technical coordination required to manage system transitions with minimal client disruption.
 Technical Knowledge
  • Access control platforms — Lenel, Software House C-CURE, Genetec, AMAG, Honeywell Pro-Watch, or equivalent.
  • Video management systems — Milestone, Avigilon, Genetec Security Center, Axis Camera Station, or equivalent.
  • Intrusion detection — DSC, Bosch, Honeywell/Resideo, DMP, or equivalent panel/sensor ecosystems.
  • Network fundamentals relevant to physical security — PoE infrastructure, VLANs, IP addressing, and physical security IT integration.
  • Reading and producing architectural drawings, security system design diagrams, and CAD/Visio documentation.
 Skills & Attributes
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented — capable of managing multiple concurrent projects without losing grip on technical quality or delivery timelines.
  • Clear, direct communicator who can translate technical complexity for both field teams and client stakeholders.
  • Collaborative partner to the PMO — contributing to scheduling and planning as a technical peer, not just a resource.
  • Composed and decisive under pressure, particularly during time-sensitive bridge escalations.
  • Self-directed with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision on active projects.
 Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), NICET Physical Security, or equivalent.
  • Experience working at a technology integrator, VAR, or managed services provider delivering physical security solutions at enterprise scale.
  • Familiarity with government or regulated-industry physical security standards (FICAM, HSPD-12, ICD 705, NERC CIP, etc.).
  • Project management fundamentals — PMP, CAPM, or equivalent experience working within structured PMO frameworks.
 Key Working Relationships
This role operates as part of an integrated delivery team. Success depends on strong, daily collaboration with:

  • Project Management Office (PMO) — joint ownership of project scheduling, milestone tracking, and client communications throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Supply Chain Team — coordination on bill of materials accuracy, parts availability, procurement timelines, and logistics to ensure field teams are equipped and ready.
  • Physical Security Engineers — provides technical leadership, day-to-day guidance, and quality oversight to Arganteal engineers supporting field technicians on active projects.
  • Client Site Contacts — serves as Arganteal's technical liaison for site readiness, access coordination, implementation scheduling, and post-go-live support.
  • Field Technicians and Integration Partners — directs on-site technical activities and conversion bridge support as escalation authority during complex installations.
What You Will Do Project Technical Leadership
  • Serve as the primary technical authority on physical security projects from kickoff through closeout, working alongside the PMO to ensure delivery milestones are met with quality.
  • Lead and participate in site surveys — assessing facility conditions, existing infrastructure, security requirements, and integration constraints to inform design decisions.
  • Develop and review design diagrams, system architectures, and configuration documentation for access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems.
  • Own the accuracy and completeness of bills of materials (BOMs), partnering with Supply Chain to validate part numbers, quantities, lead times, and substitution options prior to procurement.
  • Coordinate with clients on site readiness, implementation scheduling, access logistics, and technical prerequisites — ensuring all parties are prepared ahead of deployment.
 Implementation Oversight & Field Support
  • Provide real-time technical guidance to Arganteal Physical Security Engineers and field technicians during system installations, integrations, and cutovers.
  • Oversee conversion bridge activities, offering escalation support and expert direction when installations encounter technical complexities or unexpected site conditions.
  • Monitor implementation progress against design specifications, identifying deviations early and coordinating corrective action with the PMO and field teams.
  • Lead post-implementation remediation efforts — documenting punch list items, prioritizing resolution, and tracking completion through client acceptance.
 Scheduling & Coordination
  • Partner with the PMO on project scheduling — including field crew assignments, equipment delivery windows, client availability, and multi-site sequencing.
  • Anticipate technical dependencies and constraints that affect scheduling, communicating risks proactively to the PMO and project stakeholders.
  • Manage workload across concurrent projects, balancing direct technical involvement with oversight responsibilities to maximize team throughput.
 Bridge Escalation Support
  • Provide escalation support during critical implementation bridges outside of standard hours on an as-needed basis.
  • Serve as the technical decision-maker during escalations — diagnosing issues quickly, directing field resources, and communicating status clearly to the PMO and client contacts.
  • Document escalation outcomes and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence on future engagements.
 Technical Guidance & Quality
  • Mentor and provide day-to-day technical direction to Arganteal Physical Security Engineers, elevating team capability and consistency across engagements.
  • Establish and enforce technical quality standards for design deliverables, BOM documentation, installation workmanship, and as-built records.
  • Review and approve technical deliverables before submission to clients or transition to field teams.
  • Stay current with evolving physical security technologies, integration standards, and vendor platforms — bringing that knowledge back into delivery practices and team development.
 Working Conditions
This role operates on standard business hours. On-call bridge escalation support is required on an as-needed basis outside of standard hours during active implementation windows.
