Central Sterile Technician (Full-Time, Day Shift)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Central Sterile Technician (Full-Time, Day Shift) in our Montefiore, New Rochelle Facility.

Job Summary

The Central Sterile Technician performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Requirements:

  • Must have completed a Central Sterile Processing certification course, and completed 400 hours internship and successfully passed the certification test.
  • Certification IAHCSMM, 12 CEUs yearly / CSPD 100 CEU'S per 5 years.
  • 3 years Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have knowledge and be competent of the following:
  • Sterrad NX - Low temperature, Steris Steam Autoclave - Pre-vacuum. Getinge- Steam Autoclave Pre-vacuum,Getinge- Ultrasonic Machines, Getinge- Washers, Getinge cart washers Insulation tester for laparoscopic instruments Heat seal machine for Steam and Sterrad peel pouches.
