Job description

Join Henderson Products Inc., located in Manchester, IA! We are the North American leader in the design, manufacture and up fit of multi-purpose equipment for heavy-duty work trucks specializing in snow and ice control and “Keeping America’s Roads Safe!”

Day Shift - 5am to 3:00pm, 20-minute paid lunch. Flexible start times available if needed.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: As a Welder of truck-mounted equipment, you will be responsible for consistently producing high quality weldments through the use of provided blueprints or documentation to achieve daily schedule attainment to meet customer demand. Welders are responsible for the set-up, operation, adjustment, and regulation of welding machines. Welds with or without the use of fixtures. May utilize various tools to cut, grind, bevel, fit metals together and remove slag. Performs designated maintenance functions, assumes ownership for quality of weldments, participates in training, performs daily 5S activities, and maintains all safety standards.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

  • Ability to weld parts using GMAW MIG
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, knowledge of basic shop math, and the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to operate overhead hoist
  • Minimum of 6 Months experience and/or associates degree or certification
  • Adheres to all health and safety rules and maintains good housekeeping 5s

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending, lifting, and standing
  • Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
