Job description

   Role Description/Summary This position is responsible for ensuring that only permitted and bio-secure personnel are allowed in to the assigned facility by thoroughly checking information, communicating with management, and reporting any noncompliant activity immediately. Essential Job Functions – Must be able to perform these tasks with or without reasonable accommodations. 1. Check every individual entering the facility for proper clearance and in accordance with Opal’s biosecurity policy 2. Allow or deny entrance into facilities by opening and closing site gates 3.

Maintain current information for each day’s drivers’ log including entrants, exits, times, seal #’s etc. 4. Maintain hand-sanitizer and foot disinfectant stations and require entrants to use both 5. Providing directions to individuals with clearance as to what they should do and where they should go 6.

Provide biosecurity attire to all visitors with clearance 7. Communicate with plant and farm for any deliveries or issues of any kind 8. Maintain clean work space 9.

Ensure all loaded trucks are properly identified with the correct seal before leaving 10. Communicate with and update the incoming guard during shift change to ensure all information is exchanged 11. Spray tires with disinfect when automatic spray station cannot be used Night shift: training and response for after hour alarms, check refer temps every 4 hours + documentation of checks, overall security of the complex (checking locks on doors, etc.), monitor overnight personnel.Working together with the warehouse to verify SFM’s and provide appropriate dock # the driver should back into so they can remain in their truck. Review actual identification before giving clearance to enter complex. Must provide daily update to manager to review any issues that might have occurred during shift. Other Responsibilities 1.

Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications –  Must be available to work an alternating 3 – 4 schedule, 12 hour shift, including holidays.Â
