Are you an experienced welder with leadership skills and a passion for developing people? If so, MORryde has an exciting opportunity for you!


MORryde is seeking a Welding Team Leader to help lead our 2nd Shift Weld Department. In this role, you will support daily operations, help execute the production schedule, train and mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement within the department. You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to customer expectations.


This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, pays close attention to detail, and can help lead a weld team toward better performance, stronger accountability, and continued growth.


Shift: 2nd Shift | 1:00pm – 9:00pm

Requirements:
  • Prior MIG or TIG welding experience
  • Blueprint reading experience
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the Weld Department
  • Help execute the daily production schedule and keep work moving according to priority
  • Train, mentor, and advise weld team members on proper welding practices, quality expectations, and department standards
  • Assist with staffing, onboarding, training, and team development
  • Monitor work quality, identify issues, and help correct problems before they impact customers
  • Promote safe work habits, clean work areas, and organized department practices
  • Communicate department needs, issues, and priorities clearly with supervisors and other departments
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other departments to achieve company goals
  • Help drive continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, organization, and accountability
  • Ability to handle stress, maintain organization, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
