Primary Purpose
Monitor and remediate intrusion alarms through multiple security access applications. Dispatch law enforcement and first responders across the Enterprise to security related events Answer and prioritize incoming emergency and routine security events calls. Maintain site access across the entire Exelon Enterprise Log and manage status of site intrusion systems, develop understanding of physical security equipment capabilities. Provide first level IT support with Access Management related issues across Exelon Enterprise Work closely with security teams across the company, providing both verbal and written communication. Coordinate security system repairs between security, facilities, infrastructure protection, and third-party vendors. Create incident reports documenting security events, detailing events in a clear and organized manner. Maintain proper documentation on notifications, maintaining an accurate shift activity log. Perform specific actions as detailed in the ESOC Policies and Procedures documentation. Assist in initial triage of internal and third-party cyber threat reporting. Adhere to NERC/CIP and other technical compliance requirements and perform regulatory procedures. ESOC Operator is an on-site fixed shift, 24/7. Operators are expected to perform assigned work independently, and quickly assist and support operations during a security event or other emergency. Operators work directly with Exelon Utility control centers.
Primary Duties
  • Monitor the physical infrastructure and personnel safety across the Exelon enterprise through 24/7/365 alarm system monitoring and IVR phone system. Provide first level IT support for physical and logical access related issues, including company badge and physical access. Support cyber security, access management, compliance, and facilities with user terminations/suspensions, NERC/CIP compliance, initial triage of cyber security events. (60%)
  • Perform forensic investigative support of video and access control records. Creating incident reports of findings (15%)
  • Create and validate security system repairs with internal and external partners . (15%)
  • Perform and document system checks and video tours (5%)
  • Gain security industry experience through daily operations and interdepartmental workflows. (5%)

Minimum Qualifications
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills Knowledge of PC/desktop workstation applications: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to learn intrusion and access related security systems. Ability to troubleshoot remotely. Ability to write grammatically correct and stylistically appropriate business communications. Ability to work effectively under high stress situations, to rapidly assess and respond to life, safety, and security incidents.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Demonstrated knowledge with CCure-9000, Exacqvision, and JIRA. Knowledge with physical security intrusion systems and access control devices. Demonstrated proficiency on the following systems: CCure 9000E, Cisco Finesse, ExacqVision, Andover Continuum, DMP, AGS, ACAS, D3, JIRA, VMS, Everbridge, Microsoft Office Suite, iTOA, SharePoint, ServiceNow and any other systems or security equipment used by ESOC or the enterprise at the time of application.
