Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes (K8s) and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) to design, 
implement, and manage scalable cloud-native infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with container orchestration, infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Design & Architecture:
o    Architect and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Kubernetes clusters on AWS using EKS.
o    Collaborate with development and operations teams to design cloud-native applications and microservices.
•    Deployment & Automation:
o    Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
o    Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
•    Operations & Monitoring:
o    Monitor and troubleshoot EKS clusters and workloads using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and ELK stack.
o    Implement logging, alerting, and observability best practices.
•    Security & Compliance:
o    Apply security best practices for Kubernetes workloads, including IAM roles, RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
o    Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, ISO).

Required Skills & Qualifications:
•    Cloud Expertise:
o    8-10 years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
o    Strong understanding of cloud networking, security groups, and load balancing.
•    Kubernetes & EKS:
o    Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, components, and operations.
o    Experience deploying and managing EKS clusters in production environments.
•    DevOps & Automation:
o    Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
o    Experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration.
•    Monitoring & Logging:
o    Familiarity with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, ELK, and AWS CloudWatch.
•    Programming & Scripting: Mandatory 
o    Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go) for automation and tooling.

•    AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer.
•    Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
•    Experience with service mesh (Istio, Linkerd) and GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
•    Familiarity with Helm charts and Kubernetes Operators.
