SK On Tennessee is the newest North American entity of SK On, a global leading battery and trading company committed to technological innovation for a better, sustainable future. Located in Stanton, Tennessee, SK On Tennessee was established in 2026 as a stand-alone SK On company having previously operated as a joint-venture BlueOval SK since 2023.
Spanning approximately 4 million square feet, SK On Tennessee is a state-of-the-art facility operating like no other manufacturing plant in West Tennessee. From climate controlled, highly automated, and clean room conditions, our team will usher in a new brand of safety-focused manufacturing. With a projected start of production in 2028, SK On Tennessee is preparing to Power What's Next with its next-generation electric batteries.
Parent company SK On also operates facilities elsewhere in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Safety Emergency Response Senior Supervisor will lead the Safety Emergency Response Team within the SK On Tennessee plant. She/He will develop and implement safety-related programs and processes meant to prevent injuries, fires, or other workplace accidents. SERTs play a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment for employees of SK On Tennessee.
  • Oversees workplace inspections that identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Supervises the creation and delivery of safety training programs educating employees on safe working practices, appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures.
  • Assesses impact of training programs on organizational safety or accident rates and suggests modifications to training curriculum as needed.
  • Investigates incidents or accidents, gathers and analyzes statistics, and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepares and submits accident reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Leads and directs the work of safety response employees.
  • As a level II supervisor, this role will be for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions, and much of the incumbent's time is spent completing the same tasks as the subordinate employees.
  • Lead SERT Supervisors
  • Ensure SERT Supervisors and SERT members are prepared at all times to respond to structural and medical emergencies.
  • Oversee completion of incident reports are completed and error proofed prior to the end of each shift.
  • Ensures salary timekeeping requirements are met.
  • Provide performance reviews for all supervisor SERTs
  • Oversee incident commander on responses.
  • Oversee reports of fire, chemical spills, and alarms.
  • Ensure trainings are completed for high angle rescue operations.
  • Ensure trainings are completed for confined space rescue operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years safety and emergency response experience
  • Current Certification as Firefighter I/II from a national accredited organization
  • Prior experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school diploma or GED
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with fellow employees, hospital staffs, fire departments, rescue squads, police departments, communications centers, management, and the general public.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to handle conflict situations with god judgement, professionalism and courtesy
  • Pass a background check
  • Successfully complete the ERT physical agility requirements
  • Must be CPR certified

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 10 Cerification is preferred. Will be required within 12 months of hire.
  • Apparatus Operator (Pumper/Aerial) is preferred. Will be required within 12 months of hire.
