Job description

POSITION: Registered Nurse (RN)

Status:NonExempt
Department:Clinical Support Staff
Schedule:Day shift + rotating on-call
Location:Unalaska, AK (Relocation Required)

ROLE SUMMARY

Provide professional nursing care to patients of all ages, including afterhours urgent and emergent needs. Work independently, think critically, and deliver excellent customer service in a rural medical setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess, triage, and care for patients across the lifespan

Develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications & therapeutic measures

Assistwith emergency/urgent care procedures

Maintain aseptic technique and safe environments

Perform dispensary duties

Document all nursing interventions accurately

Participate in trainings, meetings & community events

Support clinic operations (cleaning, stocking, equipment care)

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

Strong clinical assessment & triage skills

Ability to respond to urgent and afterhours calls

Knowledge of medications, medical equipment & care procedures

Excellent communication & teamwork abilities

Ability to obtain IV/IO access

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

Alaska RN License(or ability to obtain within 90 days)

BLS - Required

ACLS, PALS &TNCC -Required within 6 months of hire

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Accredited Nursing Program (BSN, Diploma, or ADN)

2 Year nursing experience - Required

ER/Critical Care - Preferred
