Job description

Careprovider (DSP) – Honoring Choice in a Vista Country Home
About Us
We aren’t a large facility or a busy center; we are a three-bedroom home in the countryside of Vista where six adults with developmental disabilities live and thrive. We believe that quality of life is the only metric that matters, so we focus on honoring our residents’ choices and creating a respectful home and community environment. We operate with a "one team, one goal" mentality, looking for positive, solution-oriented people who want to work alongside like-minded staff to build authentic bonds with the individuals we support.
The Role & Schedule
We are looking for a dedicated Careprovider to support our six residents across both our home-based care and our Community Day Program.
  • Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour.
  • Flexibility:  We have shifts at various times of the day and the week.  Staff can typically work 30-40 hours per week if they are are willing to fill needed shifts. While we prefer consistent schedules, we need a team member who is adaptable. Shifts may occasionally change based on the evolving needs of the residents and the home.
What We Are Looking For
  • The Right Heart: You believe in honoring a person’s dignity and choice above all else.
  • A Harmonious Team Member: We value a workplace free of drama. We seek and thrive in a collaborative environment, looking for individuals who handle challenges with maturity and stay focused on our collective goal of providing a peaceful home.
  • Celebrating the Day: You find fulfillment in the "small wins." To us, it’s a successful day when you’ve shared an enjoyable moment, found some great food together, or simply made someone smile. You should leave work feeling like the residents truly enjoyed their day.
Requirements
  • Reliability: A consistent start is vital for the stability of our home.
  • Clearance: Must be 18+ and able to pass a DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check.
  • Transportation: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for community outings and pass our driving test.
  • Attitude: We prioritize a patient, empathetic attitude and a desire to be part of a close-knit team.
  • Willingness to Learn:  Irregardless of previous experience, we require staff to engage and use the knowledge from on-going staff development.
