Under theย direct supervision of theย Operations Director, Assistant Directorย Day Habilitation Program Coordinator, and programย without walls administration team.ย ย The Day Program Specialist is to ensure theย safety and well-being of allย participants enrolled in ourย community-basedย program.ย ย Staff are to act as teachers, role models, andย support toย the individuals we serve.ย ย Staff are to treatย everyoneย with dignity and respect and provide a setting that is caring, enabling, empowering, supportive, and which leads toย increasedย independence.ย ย 

RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  1. Assist, supervise,ย supportย and instruct individuals to promote independence and integration into their community.ย ย 

  1. Teach skills toย assistย the individuals we serve, achieve a sense of accomplishment and self-worth in the areasย of;ย 

  1. Life Safety Trainingย 

  1. Communication Skills Trainingย 

  1. Cooking, budgeting & shoppingย 

  1. Money Management Skills Trainingsย ย 

  1. Socialization Skills Trainingย ย 

  1. Recreational activities, new and likedย 

  1. Individual and Group Social, Health Related, Recreation Activatesย ย 

  1. Assistย in the development and implementation of habilitation plans and goal development.ย ย 

  1. Completeย dailyย documentation accurately andย timelyย to reflect progress onย goals,ย other documentationย requiredย as needed, includingย Range of Scan,ย supervisionย and trip forms.ย 

  1. Provide safe transportationย to and from dayย programย and throughout the day to community outings.ย 

  1. Workย wellย as a team member with supervisors and co-workers.ย Follow management instructions,ย maintainingย accountability for whereabouts throughout the day.ย 

  1. Maintain a safe, clean, and stress-free environment.ย ย 

  1. Maintain and complete all requiredย trainingsย 

  1. Other duties as assignedย to ensure the operation of theย dayย program.
