Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Program
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Overview
Bond Health is currently hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time Day Program opportunity.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse who is passionate about supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a non-clinical, community-based setting. The RN will oversee health services, provide staff education, maintain compliance with applicable regulations, and help promote the overall health, safety, and well-being of the individuals supported.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and health documentation.
  • Communicate important health information to staff, families, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Train staff in OSHA standards, First Aid, medication support, and health and safety procedures.
  • Perform nursing assessments, evaluations, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with professional nursing standards and applicable regulations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews.
  • Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), AMAP staff, and other direct care personnel as appropriate.
  • Promote a safe, healthy, and person-centered environment for all individuals served.
  • Provide nursing oversight for multiple Day Program locations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and supervise clinical support staff.
