Job description

We are looking for an 04 Certified PreK teacher for our full day program for the school year 2019-2020. Our AM class is from 8-1030 and our PM class is 11-130.  Candidate must be passionate about working with small children.  Candidate must also be patient and emphatic towards children who come from diverse social backgrounds and with a wide range of learning abilities. Responsibilities include meeting and greetings with students and parents, following all food handler procedures while serving meals, promoting personal hygiene practices, parent/teacher conferences, child assessments and screenings, participate in staff meetings, supervising paraprofessionals and teaching assistants.   You will be responsible for helping children develop social and emotional skills and monitoring a range of daily activities, from playful learning to rest time. You need to be flexible and creative while maintaining structure and developing routines. You will be responsible for planning and implementing a curriculum that follows all state DCFS and ISBE guidelines.
