Job description

The primary responsibility of the Lead Staff is to support the Program Coordinator Program Manager in the overall administration of the DDS Day Program. The position requires strong understanding of DDS program requirements, organizational skills, proficient problem-solving capacities, an ability to lead team efforts, and the capacity to work with developmentally disabled adults in structured settings.
Duties and Responsibilities
โ€ข Assist the Program Coordinator with daily operations of day support programming and operations.
โ€ข Complete daily staffing schedules and transportation assignments.
โ€ข Display effective communication with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
โ€ข Attend mandatory DDS meetings in compliance with DDS and CPM guidelines.
โ€ข Provide transportation when necessary.
โ€ข Assist Direct Care Staff in daily job responsibilities.
โ€ข Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and filed timely on a weekly basis.
โ€ข Track, gather and prepare individual data monthly for quality assurance reviews.
โ€ข Work with staff to ensure the safety standards are maintained at the facility and agency vehicles, reporting any findings to supervisor.
โ€ข Facilitate the completion of all documentation related to individuals serviced each day.
โ€ข Ensure all staff are proficiently in-serviced on individuals, PCP's, BSP's, protocols, etc.
โ€ข Track and document petty cash expenditures daily (where applicable).
โ€ข Facilitate teamwork and encourage innovative strategies to foster a productive work environment daily.
โ€ข Seek appropriate supervision and guidance when needed.
โ€ข Attend meetings and events as directed.
โ€ข Effectively respond to crisis and emergency situations with a calm and reasoned response as necessary or directed by Supervisor or other member of the management team.
โ€ข Adhere to CPM and DDS policy and procedures or reporting all incidents to guardians, Coordinator, DDS team, CPM management.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
โ€ข Education - High School diploma or GED and 2 years field related experience.
โ€ข Knowledge of DDS systems.
โ€ข Ability to interact with people with intellectual disabilities.
โ€ข Knowledge of basic computer technology and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
โ€ข Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
