Day Program Manager Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

Responsibilities Include:
  • Supervise, train, and provide guidance to the staff in accordance with state, federal regulations, and Benchmark personnel policies.
  • Participate in direct service for each client as needed.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly documentation as required by Benchmark, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate professionally with families, case managers, behavior consultants, health care personnel, other agencies, employers, etc.
  • Implement training programs as specified in each client's ISP.
  • Implement and update curriculum as needed to fit the needs of clients served.
  • Comply with and implements all protocols for individuals including but not limited to: high-risk plans, behavior support plans, dining plans, seizure management plans, positioning schedules, etc.
  • Ensure proper medication/treatment administration and assists in meeting the client's healthcare needs.
  • Identify and address any disciplinary issues with DSPs.
  • Collaborate with Program Coordinator Day Services in interviewing and selecting new DSPs.
  • Plan and implements facility based, age appropriate, recreational activities for clients.
  • Implement required training protocol for new and existing staff.
  • Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation or reasonable suspicion of a crime against any individual served to supervisor or to Director.
  • Maintain certification in medication administration, CPR/FA, and MANDT.
  • Monitor staff and client schedules on a daily basis to ensure productivity of DSP's is at acceptable levels.
  • Attend all scheduled trainings including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, discipline, and employee relations along with staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned

General Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Two (2) years' experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • A minimum of 1 - year supervisor experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Driver's license valid in the State of New Jersey
  • Proof as a covered driver with auto insurance
  • Successfully clear prior to beginning employment
