Job Summary
The Tennis Instructor is responsible for running the 6 week i9 Sports Tennis program. This person should have a strong knowledge of tennis concepts, skills, and drills for beginning and intermediate tennis players and be comfortable leading a group of kids and parent volunteers to execute the tennis program.
Program Overview
The i9 Sports Tennis program is a 6 week, one hour instructional program for kids ages 5-12. Most kids will be beginner and intermediate players and will be divided into red ball, orange ball, and green ball groups. We anticipate 20 - 30 kids in the Fall Program which will happen from 1-2pm at Novato High School on Saturdays 9/20 - 11/1.
Responsibilities
  • Lead 1 hour instructional sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
  • Work with i9 Staff to deliver a great experience for kids and parents
  • Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge
  • Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently
  • Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
