Position Overview
  • Department: Water Aerobics
  • Schedule: Rotating, including weekend shifts; Monday - Thursday, 5 a.m. - 9 p.m, Friday: 5 a.m. - 7 p.m,Sunday: Noon - 5 p.m.
  • Work Location: UAB St Vincent's 119

What You Will Do

Provide instruction on physical fitness as it relates to all aspects of general health and wellness.

  • Design fitness programs for various patient populations.
  • Organize and instruct exercise classes for all fitness levels. Ensure that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility's exercise equipment.
  • Develop and market general health and wellness programs.
  • Present educational lectures/programs throughout the community.
  • Oversee and ensure appropriate use and maintenance of Fitness Center equipment.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted. Required.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
