Adjunct pools are open on a fiscal year basis for continuous recruitment for department assignments. Please review application material requirements carefully to ensure successful submission. Qualifications and Minimum Requirements Possession of an unexpired Credential in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. OR
  • Any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment and have a current valid license to perform Diagnostic Medical Sonograms in the state of California.
OR
  • Any associate degree and six years of professional experience and have a current valid license to perform Diagnostic Medical Sonograms in the state of California.
PLEASE NOTE:
  • The successful candidate will be registered in either Abdomen, OB/Gyn, and/or Vascular by ARDMS, CCI, and/or ARRT.
  • The position requires didactic teaching (lecture and lab), mentorship, precepting, exam proctoring, interdisciplinary education, and participating in academic and service responsibilities at the College.
  • Evidence of a sensitivity to, understanding of, and the ability to manage the classroom environment AND effectively provide instruction to community college students of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Candidate may only be assigned to teach a specialty course for which they have valid credentials.
