Job Description
The Production Associate supports industrial finishing operations by sandblasting parts in an enclosed blast booth and preparing products for painting and other finishing processes. In this role, you load and unload flat panel products on the production paint line, manually move materials, and assist with day-to-day production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You work closely with a team to ensure products are safely handled, properly prepared, and ready for high-quality finishing.
Responsibilities
- Sandblast parts inside an enclosed blast booth, following all safety procedures and using equipment correctly to prepare surfaces for finishing.
- Prepare products for finishing processes, including cleaning, positioning, and staging parts for the production paint line.
- Support the production paint line by loading and unloading flat panel products according to standard operating procedures.
- Manually move materials and products throughout the facility, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items as needed.
- Handle flat panel products safely to prevent damage and ensure they are properly oriented for painting and finishing.
- Assist with day-to-day production needs, including general labor tasks and supporting other team members to maintain workflow.
- Work consistently in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining attention to safety and quality.
- Follow all manufacturing and safety guidelines when working in the blast booth and around the paint line.
- Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to the assigned work schedule to support continuous production operations.
Essential Skills
- Ability to lift 1โ50 lbs independently on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform team lifts for items weighing more than 50 lbs.
- Comfort working in an enclosed blast booth environment while following safety procedures.
- Comfortable with manual material movement, including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the entire shift in a production setting.
- Willingness to load and unload production paint lines safely and efficiently.
- Ability to handle flat panel products safely to avoid damage and ensure proper placement.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work the assigned schedule consistently.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and production environment with fast-paced operations.
- General labor and general production skills applicable to industrial and production line work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience.
- Experience working on or around a production paint line.
- Experience handling large or awkward products in an industrial setting.
- Exposure to industrial blasting, painting, or paint preparation processes.
- Familiarity with industrial finishing environments, including paint prep and coating operations.
Work Environment
The work environment is an industrial finishing setting where large metal components and fabricated products are prepared and coated before shipment. Operations center around industrial painting and coating services for heavy equipment, machinery, and manufactured components. You work in and around a blast booth and production paint line, handling flat panel products and other metal parts. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with frequent physical activity such as standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift. Safety procedures guide all work in the blast booth and around painting equipment, and you can expect typical industrial conditions associated with manufacturing and finishing operations.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
