Security Specialist Talent, Events & LIVE

Location: New York City, NY 888 Broadway, 7th Floor
Department: Security & Intelligence / Content Risk
Pay Rate: $50$55/hr
Work Structure: Primarily remote with occasional NYC office days(Hybrid)
Schedule: Flexible; evenings and weekends may be required for events

Make an Impact Where Security Meets Live Experiences

Are you a security professional who combines strong operational judgment with exceptional people skills?

Were looking for a Specialist, Talent, Event & LIVE Security to help protect people, productions, talent, and high-profile experiences across a fast-moving portfolio of events and projects.

This role is ideal for someone who can move comfortably between stakeholder conversations, security operations, and vendor management. Youll work closely with event producers, internal teams, security partners, and vendors to turn security standards into practical, effective execution.

More than simply identifying risks, youll be someone others trust to communicate expectations, build relationships, solve problems, and take ownership from start to finish.

What Youll Do
  • Partner with event producers and internal stakeholders to understand security needs and develop practical solutions.

  • Coordinate and support security operations for events, productions, talent-driven experiences, and LIVE projects.

  • Assess risks, identify potential issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and partners, ensuring standards are clearly communicated and consistently followed.

  • Coach vendors and operational partners toward compliance and provide constructive feedback when standards arent being met.

  • Escalate security concerns and operational issues appropriately while helping drive them toward resolution.

  • Build strong working relationships across Security, Intelligence, Production, Marketing, Publicity, Events, and other teams.

  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency management organizations, and private security networks when appropriate.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with changing priorities and tight timelines.

  • Respond calmly and effectively to unexpected situations and operational challenges.

  • Help execute the teams security strategy and translate it into effective day-to-day operations.

  • Support events and projects during evenings and weekends when required.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for a security professional who is highly accountable, collaborative, and comfortable operating independently.

  • 5+ years of relevant security experience, ideally in:

    • Event security

    • Executive or close protection

    • Investigations

    • Intelligence or intelligence-adjacent roles

    • Corporate/private-sector security operations

    • Production or entertainment security

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating security vendors, partners, or external teams.

  • Ability to communicate security standards clearly and coach others toward compliance.

  • Strong operational judgment and the ability to make sound decisions with limited direction.

  • A high level of personal accountability, ownership, and initiative.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Ability to remain composed, professional, and solutions-focused when circumstances change.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners.

  • Strong risk assessment, incident response, and operational planning skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when events require it.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience supporting high-profile talent, executives, productions, premieres, or major events.

  • Established relationships with NYPD, particularly Community Affairs, emergency management organizations, or private security networks.

  • Experience working in entertainment, media, sports, LIVE events, or other high-visibility environments.

  • Experience managing third-party security vendors and holding partners accountable to established standards.

  • Military, law enforcement, or other specialized security experience is a plus.

What This Role Is Really About

This isnt a role where youll simply sit back and develop security strategy.

Youll be expected to execute, influence, and own.

Approximately 50% of your time will focus on internal stakeholder engagement, 30% on operational activities, and 20% on vendor engagement. Youll work across numerous smaller projects, often simultaneously, requiring flexibility, sound judgment, and the ability to build trust quickly.

The ideal candidate doesnt wait to be told what to do. They see an issue, take ownership, communicate clearly, and help find a solution.

Youll also understand that successful security operations are built on strong relationships. Whether youre working with an event producer, internal stakeholder, vendor, law enforcement partner, or security professional, your ability to communicate standards and bring people along with you will be critical to your success.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

If youre ready to take your security career into a high-visibility, collaborative, and constantly evolving environment, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Youll have the chance to work across live experiences and high-profile projects while partnering with talented professionals across the organization. Every project will bring a new challengeand your judgment, initiative, and ability to build strong relationships will help make those experiences safe and successful.

If youre an experienced security professional who takes ownership, builds trust, and thrives in dynamic environments, wed love to hear from you!
