We are looking for a full-time Experience Marine Technician to help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. 


Position Overview

As a Marine Mechanic, you will work alongside experienced technicians to maintain, diagnose, and repair a wide range of boat makes and models. This position is ideal for someone with prior experience who is looking to continue developing their technical expertise and certifications within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Primary Responsibilities
· Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot marine systems.
· Remove, repair, and reinstall engines, transoms, and outdrives.
· Disassemble units and inspect components for wear and damage.
· Overhaul or replace components including carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, pumps, and fuel systems.
· Rebuild engine components such as cylinder blocks and outdrives.
· Install and repair marine accessories, including radios and electronics.
· Complete repair work within established timeframes using the service scheduler.
· Maintain and keep all certifications current.
· Participate in manufacturer training and certification programs (Mercury, Volvo, Mastercraft, Yamaha – paid by Goodhue).
· Maintain clean, organized workspaces and proper tool care.
· Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

· Strong attention to detail and diagnostic ability.
· Experience working with marine engines, systems, and components.
· Manufacturer certifications (Mercury, Volvo, Yamaha, etc.), preferred.
· Ability to thoroughly inspect boats and clearly communicate repair needs.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
· Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
· Ability to perform diagnostics and repairs across a variety of marine engines and systems.


Physical Requirements

· Ability to work in an active, fast-paced service environment.
· Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
· Ability to ascend and descend ladders.
· Ability to work in confined spaces.


Education, Licensing & Skills

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a repair or service facility, or completion of a high school/vocational auto shop program, required.
· High School diploma or equivalent, required.
· Valid Driver’s License, required.
· Boater’s License, preferred.


Work Schedule

· Monday–Friday + Weekends (5 days per week)
· Monday–Friday schedule during off-peak season
· Flexible scheduling
· Overtime available


Compensation and Wages

· Hourly position and overtime available
