The Construction Laborer supports field operations within the Heavy & Highway Division by assisting crews with a wide range of construction activities. The Laborer performs physically demanding tasks and works collaboratively with equipment operators, forepersons, and other crew members to ensure successful project execution.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist construction crews with daily operations on highway, paving, and site development projects.
- Perform general labor duties including sweeping, shoveling, raking, tamping, and site cleanup.
- Mix, pour, and move materials such as bagged cement, concrete, bricks, blocks, and related construction supplies.
- Assist with formwork setup and breakdown.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as directed.
- Support grading, paving, and utility installation operations as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site in compliance with safety standards.
- Follow all traffic control and safety procedures while working in roadway environments.

- Provide reliable labor support to Heavy & Highway and Paving Division crews.
- Contribute to the safe and timely completion of construction projects.
