Job description

The Assistant Director, Fan Experience is responsible for the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of in-venue game presentation and fan experience for assigned varsity sports within Pitt Athletics. This role is focused on delivering an engaging, high-energy, and cohesive game day atmosphere that enhances the overall fan experience and drives home-field and home-court advantage.
Primary responsibilities include developing and executing detailed game scripts and run-of-show timelines; coordinating videoboard content, music, and in-game elements; managing sponsor-related in-game inventory; and supervising game day staff and student workers. This position plays a key role in ideating and executing creative elements across highly visible moments, including pregame, in-game breaks, timeouts, and other fan-facing activations.
The Assistant Director will collaborate closely with Fan Experience leadership, creative/video teams, and external partners to ensure seamless execution and alignment with departmental standards.
Additionally, this role will support grassroots outreach efforts, including on-campus and in-community activations, to drive awareness and attendance for assigned sports.
This position will also assist with game day fan experience operations for football and men's basketball, as well as other duties as assigned.
