Job Title:Corporate Safety and Security Manager
Reports to:Director, Safety & Loss Prevention
Location: Goleta, CA - In-Office

The Role

As the Corporate Safety & Security Manager, you'll lead the charge in protecting employees, visitors, and company assets by leading workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and physical security programs. This role proactively identifies and mitigates risks, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and strengthens emergency preparedness across the organization. By partnering with cross-functional teams, the position promotes a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational resilience. This role enables the company to maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment that supports employee wellbeing and business continuity.

Your Impact

Safety & Regulatory Compliance Management

  • Lead development and maintenance of safety programs per CAL/OSHA, delivering practical solutions and mentoring others

  • Maintain and update IIPP, ERP, and workplace safety policies, ensuring communication and implementation

  • Record and audit safety incidents, delivering quantifiable results for incident reduction through training and communication

  • Conduct safety assessments, fire drills, investigate incidents, injuries, near-miss events, and implement corrective actions

Physical Security Operations & Risk Mitigation

  • Oversee security systems including access control, CCTV, alarms, and monitoring operations

  • Conduct biannual security risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies

  • Complete technology audits, document findings, and drive timely resolution

  • Develop and maintain workplace violence prevention procedures and incident response

Emergency Preparedness & Business Continuity

  • Maintain emergency action plans for fire, earthquake, medical emergencies, and active threats

  • Coordinate evacuation drills, emergency response training, and safety exercises, maintaining logs for reference

  • Serve as incident response coordinator during emergencies

Safety Training & Employee Engagement

  • Promote a culture of safety through ergonomic programs and safety reporting

  • Develop safety communication, awareness campaigns, and onboarding materials

  • Develop safety training programs including emergency preparedness, workplace safety practices, and hazard awareness

Security Vendor & Program Management

  • Assess security guard performance, manage contracted guard personnel, vendors, and service providers

  • Manage programs, procurement initiatives, and vendor performance

  • Prepare safety and security reports, metrics, and program updates for leadership

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Criminal Justice, Security Management, Risk Management, or related field

  • 6-7+ years of progressive experience in workplace safety and corporate security, including managing corporate office or campus safety programs

  • Skilled in safety program development, incident investigation, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation

  • Have experience implementing California IIPP

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of CAL/OSHA regulations and workplace safety

  • Proficient in physical security program management, workplace violence prevention, and threat assessments

  • Experienced in crisis response coordination and evacuation planning

  • Able to influence and engage employees on safety culture, report on incidents and regulatory requirements

  • Strong collaborator with HR, Facilities, Legal, and IT

  • Preferred Experience in CAL/OSHA, GSOC or GSaaS, access control, CCTV monitoring, and alarm systems

  • Preferred certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Threat Manager (CTM), CPR/AED & First Aid (preferred)
