Day Cold Calling information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Day Cold Calling Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Day Cold Calling Specialist, you need strong verbal communication, resilience, and a basic understanding of sales principles, often supported by previous sales or customer service experience. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and auto-dialing systems is typically required. Standout soft skills include persistence, active listening, and the ability to quickly build rapport with potential clients. These competencies are crucial for effectively generating leads, overcoming objections, and achieving sales targets in a high-volume outreach environment.

What are some effective strategies for handling rejection and maintaining motivation in a Day Cold Calling role?

Cold calling often involves facing frequent rejection, which can be challenging for even the most experienced professionals. To stay motivated, it's important to set realistic goals, celebrate small wins, and view each call as a learning opportunity rather than a setback. Many teams encourage collaboration through peer support and regular team meetings to share successes and tips. Embracing a positive attitude and seeking feedback from colleagues or supervisors can also help build resilience and improve call outcomes over time.

What is day cold calling?

Day cold calling is the process of making unsolicited phone calls to potential customers or clients during regular business hours, typically to generate leads or sales opportunities. It involves reaching out to individuals or businesses who have not previously expressed interest in the product or service being offered. Success in day cold calling relies on effective communication skills, persistence, and the ability to handle rejection. This approach is commonly used in sales and telemarketing roles to expand a company's customer base.

Job description

Schedule:
Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Consistent, Full-Time)
Culture:  Team-First / Concierge Style
Are you tired of the "Retail Grind" or "Shark Tank" sales?

If you love helping people but hate the 9:00 PM mall shifts, the cut-throat competition for leads, and the "hard sell" tactics that feel outdated and annoying—we have a seat for you.
At Recreation Unlimited, we’ve been a family-owned staple for over 30 years. We don’t sell "units"; we sell the best day of a kid’s summer, a parent’s nightly escape, and quality family time. We’re looking for a Customer Experience Advisor who wants a career, not just a retail job.
Why we’re different:

  • No "Sharks" Allowed: We use a collaborative team model. We win together, and we support each other. You’ll never have to worry about a coworker "stealing" your lead.
  • Inbound Only: All our leads come from customers who personally reached out to us. No cold calling. No chasing people who don't want to talk.
  • Concierge, Not "Closer": We take a consultative approach. You are an advisor helping families find the product that fits their lifestyle and budget.
  • Life-Work Balance: We work 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. No late nights, and a consistent Tuesday–Saturday schedule so you can actually plan your life.
What’s in it for you?

  • Health & Wellness: Full QSEHRA Health Benefits (we contribute $512/month toward the plan of your choice).
  • Time Off: Generous PTO (80 hours in your first year) + 5 Paid Sick Days + Paid Holidays.
  • The Perks: Gym membership reimbursement, free snacks/drinks, and exclusive product discounts.
  • The Pay: Competitive salary + cash bonuses, sales incentives, and advanced team-based commissions.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Guiding the Journey: Managing the "concierge" experience through our CRM, following up with families via phone, email, and chat.
  • Expert Advising: Becoming a pro on our hot tubs, playsets, and structures to help customers make the best choice.
  • System Building: We are growing fast! We want someone who sees a "bottleneck" and helps us build a better system to fix it.
  • Relationship Management: Maintaining productive, happy relationships with customers from the first hello to the final installation.
Who you are:

  • A Team Player: You genuinely enjoy making your fellow employees better and uplifting those around you.
  • Reliable & Action-Oriented: You do what you say you’re going to do. When you see a problem, you don't wait for permission—you take action.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with computers, CRMs, and online sales tools.
  • A Positive Force: You bring a great attitude to the showroom every single day.
Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred, but we value experience and personality more).
  • Ability to work Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right "people person."
Ready for something different?

If you’re a self-starter who is tired of the cut-throat sales world and wants to work for a progressive, locally-owned business that actually cares about your growth, we’d love to meet you.
