Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about working with kids? Do you love being outdoors, leading activities, and being a positive role model? If so, we want YOU to join our Day Camp team as a Day Camp Counselor!

This is more than a job-it's an opportunity to create unforgettable experiences for children while building leadership, teamwork, and life skills.

Monday - Friday | 8am - 4pm


As a Day Camp Counselor, you'll deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging programming for children while helping create a fun and supportive camp environment. You'll plan activities, supervise campers, and ensure every child feels welcomed, safe, and encouraged.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as archery, canoeing, swimming, arts & crafts, games, and group activities.
  • Supervise a group of 8-10 campers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Actively participate in activities, including swimming with campers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized camp environment.
  • Prepare daily supplies and communicate needs to the Camp Director.
  • Document and report incidents, accidents, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with parents and refer concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Serve as a positive role model, following camp policies and wearing the staff uniform and photo ID.
  • Encourage feedback through program evaluations to help improve camp experiences.


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and/or possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience working with children is preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • CPR/AED certification required or able to obtain within 30 days of hire


Physical & Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and physical activity
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Exposure to noise, allergens, large groups, and active environments
  • Ability to remain professional under deadlines and while handling concerns
