Under the supervision of a qualified BCBA, fieldwork students will engage in a combination of restricted and unrestricted activities as outlined by the BACB, gaining hands-on clinical experience and weekly supervision hours. This position provides a valuable opportunity to develop and refine clinical skills while fulfilling BACB certification requirements.

  • Collaborate with families and professionals to support client progress and care
  • Participate in supervision sessions, team meetings, and ongoing training
  • Assist in program development and preparation of instructional materials
  • Uphold client confidentiality and professional ethics in compliance with HIPAA and BACB guidelines
  • Must wear scrubs during work hours
  • Commit to completing 32–40 hours per week

Fieldwork & Supervision

  • Supervised experience will align with BACB’s Supervised Fieldwork requirements
  • Participate in both restricted (e.g., direct therapy) and unrestricted activities (e.g., data analysis, treatment planning, report writing)
  • Receive weekly supervision by a qualified BCBA (meeting 5% of total hours per month)
  • All supervision will be documented and conducted per BACB guidelines

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required)
  • At least 1 year of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities (required)
  • Currently enrolled in a BACB-approved program with at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework completed (Bachelor’s in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field preferred)
  • Committed to becoming a BCBA and completing all necessary fieldwork requirements

Key Skills

  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills
  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous professional growth
  • Consistent, reliable, and punctual
  • Emotionally regulated and able to manage challenging behaviors calmly
  • Highly organized and accurate with data collection and documentation
  • Adaptive to changing client needs or settings
  • Able to follow BCBA instructions and implement plans with fidelity

Perks & Benefits

  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate coursework
  • Highly competitive hourly pay, based on experience
  • Initial and ongoing training opportunities
  • Paid Time Off (sick and personal days)
