What is a DataDome security engineer?

Datadome is a cybersecurity company specializing in bot management and online fraud protection. Professionals working at Datadome typically focus on developing, maintaining, and improving systems that detect and mitigate malicious bot activity on websites and mobile apps. Their roles can include software engineering, threat analysis, data science, and customer support, all centered around ensuring digital assets are protected from automated threats. Employees may also work on creating algorithms to differentiate between legitimate users and bots, analyze traffic patterns, and support clients in implementing security solutions.

To excel as a DataDome Security Engineer, you need strong expertise in cybersecurity, bot mitigation strategies, and web application security, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with tools such as WAFs, SIEM systems, scripting languages (like Python), and cloud platforms is typically required, with certifications like CEH or CISSP being advantageous. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are vital for proactively identifying threats and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
