Job Summary:
Syntricate Technologies is seeking a Datacenter Operations Admin to oversee and maintain the physical infrastructure in their data center. The role involves hardware installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ensuring effective communication during operations.
Responsibilities:
• Experience in working on data center server and networking hardware, with an understanding of the infrastructure at a high level
• Experience and understanding of hardware architecture, maintenance and repair
• Experience with hardware platforms like Client, Dell , EMC, NetApp, CISCO etc; including installation, systems administration and troubleshooting with knowledge of networking, including topology and protocol understanding. Experience in monitoring HVAC, DG sets etc
• Effective people management and communication skills.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
• Ability to join P1 and P2 calls; and communicate effectively for Data Center operations status quo with Technical L3 team
• Ability to support for any changes in Data Center operations including power up, shut down, cabling, racking, strarting DG set during power failure etc
• Ability to travel across adjacent buildings and locations up to 50% of the time
• Responsible for monitoring the state-of-the-art physical infrastructure in Data Center
• Install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like OS etc)
• Supporting installation of components such as networks, routers, hubs, bridges, switches and networking protocols
• Participate in or lead small project teams on larger installations and develop project contingency plans
• Ability to lift/move equipment as required.
• Experience in TRELLIS- Data center inventory management tool preferred
• Understanding of Operational Acceptance, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability (HA) in a Production environment.
• Understanding of Change Management, Incident Management and Release and Configuration management processes.
• Infrastructure services delivery using offshore/onshore capabilities; an understanding of the complexities of working with teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ year experience
• Experience in working on data center server and networking hardware, with an understanding of the infrastructure at a high level
• Experience and understanding of hardware architecture, maintenance and repair
