We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager who is responsible for securing and managing service contracts for data center builds while positioning CCI Systems as the partner of choice for hyperscale owners and key general contractors. This role oversees the full project lifecycle from early‑stage pursuit and pre‑construction through execution, long‑term facility maintenance agreements, and ongoing program management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business initiatives and develop go-to-market strategies and solutions to ensure business growth within defined target segments.
  • Act as customer relations manager and drive sales to meet budget expectations.
  • Consult with facility managers and infrastructure teams to sell direct-to-owner services and ongoing maintenance programs for relevant CCI services.
  • Leverage successful project delivery to secure Agreements across multiple regions.
  • Monitor markets in order to be able to engage with general contractors (GCs) before RFQ releases.
  • Work with customer base and operations to identify “next services” for market segment.
  • Develop and maintain consistent prospects and customer communications.
  • Ensure customer expectations are exceeded through superior service delivery.
  • Address operational issues professionally and promptly.
  • Work with customer accounts and internal teams to formulate revenue growth strategies.
  • Coordinate responses to applicable RFPs with bids team.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of all CCI services, along with customer process and system requirements that CCI must comply with.
  • Regularly maintain CCI’s CRM platform.
  • Collaborate with operations to develop competitive pricing strategies.
  • Achieve financial goals while operating within forecasted budgets.
  • Promote company image through ethical business practices and superior service quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Business Development or Account Management selling comparable services within the data center market or managing capacity sales to hyperscalers; 5 years preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of cloud and hyperscaler platforms, core datacenter infrastructure (servers, networking, storage, virtualization), and foundational knowledge of security, databases, and emerging technologies like AI and edge computing.
  • Proven success in selling services to data center general contractors is preferred.
  • A strong network of active relationships with the data center business units of leading firms is preferred.
  • Strategic thought leader with a depth of experience in driving sales across a broad set of technologies.
  • Must have proven success as an ambitious “hunter”.
  • Tenacity, boldness, assertiveness and a "will to win" in dealing with highly competitive situations.
  • Knowledge blend of construction-site literacy and high-level network engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and a variety of web-based software applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues, vendors, and customers of all professional levels.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and prioritization skills in high-pressure environments.
  • Proficient in interpreting financial data to support strategic decision making.
  • The ability to embrace corporate values, understand the company vision, and exemplify CCI leadership behaviors.

Shift is flexible, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST but must be able to work outside normal business hours when required.

Additional Information

  • 50% travel nationwide is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Base salary plus quarterly bonuses.


Compensation: base salary range 100k-120k plus bonuses.
