Job description

The Datacenter Product Management Director leads the strategy, portfolio direction, and go‑to‑market execution for Hubbell’s electrical product lines serving datacenter applications. This role is responsible for long‑range business and portfolio strategy, market and customer insights, new product commercialization, lifecycle management, and financial performance (revenue, profitability, and new product sales). The director also provides leadership and development to the Datacenter Product Management team within the Hubbell Electrical Products Strategic Business Unit.

  • Develop and execute the three and five year strategic plans including product roadmap with cross-functional departments for the business unit.
  • Develop the annual business and marketing plan, including initiatives (marketing programs, training, presentations) and new product introductions to achieve financial goals.
  • Oversee, monitor and analyze product marketing activities against annual business goals.
  • Develop insights based on market research, trends, and competition in Hyperscale, colo, enterprise, and edge data center market segments to create opportunities for product development.
  • Drive new product development to expand core portfolio and adjacent markets to expand share
  • Work closely with sales leadership to develop and manage channel and partner strategies and programs while collaborating with sales and vertical market teams.
  • Provides sales support by attending trade shows, meetings, and sales calls in partnership with sales leadership.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain leaders to ensure alignment between manufacturing capacity and service with market demand.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and identify pricing opportunities to achieve results.
  • Manage portfolio to include product extensions, SKU optimization, and inventory management
  • Build a high‑performing product marketing team by mentoring, hiring, and developing talent
  • Lead through influence across matrixed teams to drive alignment and coordinated execution.
  • Support M&A activities and align with the strategic business unit on strategic plans to reach and exceed business plan growth.
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • BS/BA degree in Marketing or Engineering. MBA preferred
  • 7 -10 years marketing experience in the manufacturing and/or electrical products industry
  • Strong leadership and ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Demonstrated people management experience
  • Exceptional track record of developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives, providing personal leadership.
  • Experience in new product development process with project management experience
  • Strong strategic product planning and analysis skills in sales, marketing, and business strategy
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through persuasive oral and written communications, including sales presentations, strategic planning, and project management.
  • Change management skills and experience
  • Proven track record of tactical and strategic product marketing initiatives
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high‑performing teams in a matrixed organization
