Job description

Job Overview:
  • We are seeking a Datacenter Manager to lead data center operations, infrastructure management, and engineering initiatives. 
  • The ideal candidate will oversee a team of engineers, ensure reliability of critical systems, and drive capacity planning, design, and operational excellence in a high-availability environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of Data Center Engineers.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot power, cooling, and environmental systems.
  • Support data center builds, expansions, and infrastructure refresh initiatives.
  • Maintain and support critical systems including UPS, generators, PDUs, RPPs, and cooling systems.
  • Perform capacity planning for space, power, and cooling requirements.
  • Design and oversee electrical systems including switchgear, panels, busways, and backup systems.
  • Ensure proper electrical load distribution and system reliability.
  • Develop engineering designs, specifications, and calculations for new and existing facilities.
  • Execute design and deployment for new data center infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and capacity, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Participate in incident response, maintenance windows, and on-call rotations.
  • Support rack, stack, cabling, and hardware lifecycle activities.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and decommission infrastructure equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to change management, safety, and operational best practices.
  • Support operational and capital projects and coordinate execution.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in data center operations, facilities, or infrastructure engineering, or a degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 7+ years of experience in data center engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of data center electrical systems including substations, generators, UPS, and battery systems.
  • Experience with cooling systems including CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and containment environments.
  • Experience operating and maintaining mission-critical mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with building monitoring systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment.
  • Availability to support on-call and emergency response situations.
